Migration in South Africa: Conflicts and Identities

The Mapungubwe Institute for Strategic Reflection (MISTRA), in partnership with the University of Pretoria, hosted the launch of MISTRA’s publication, Migration in South Africa: Conflicts and Identities.
The book traces how African migration experiences are similar to those in other regions of the world but also informed by the unique history of a continent whose nation-states were carved artificially by colonial powers. It also explores migration patterns and policy debates in South Africa today.
