The presentation of this 15th annual report marks a significant milestone. It is a fitting moment to appreciate not only MISTRA’s 15 years of achievement but also the continuous evolution of an institution that has become a vital pillar in South Africa’s intellectual and policy landscape.

In 2023/2024, MISTRA took part in various initiatives on South Africa’s Hydrogen Society Roadmap (HSRM) and international engagements on the green economy. These included workshops and conferences in Africa and further afield.

The 2022/23 financial year of the Mapungubwe Institute for Strategic Reflection (MISTRA) was an eventful one, as South Africa and the world started recovering from the Covid-19 pandemic.
