In issue Number#23 we report on MISTRA’s upcoming ANNUAL LECTURE, presented by Mrs Graça Machel, entitled The fluidity of African Identity in a changing continent: For Africa to live, the nation must die? In addition MISTRA will be hosting a roundtable in partnership with the Embassy of Cuba to mark the anniversary of Cuba’s National Day. The theme of the roundtable is: The logic of the social, economic and political changes in Cuba in the last 10 years and will be presented by Cuban Ambassador H. E. Carlos Fernandez de Cossío.

We also report on a range of articles, including “New Season, New Struggle, Real meaning of Amla’s captaincy “and, “Time for SA to get down to business” by Dr Mcebisi Ndletyana, Head of Faculty of Political Economy. We also report on an article entitled “Radical change is our collective responsibility” by Joel Netshitenzhe.We are happy to announce the appointment of Dr Hester du Plessis who joins us as MISTRA’s Faculty Head of Humanity, Paul Webb who is leading our research project entitled, Pedagogy of Mathematics: Is there a unifying logic? and Euston Wesso, an intern in the Humanity Faculty.
