The project aims to understand the extent of transformation in the sector and publishing value chain to identify areas for effective intervention. Through primary and secondary research, the research project tracks the pace and scope of transformation in South Africa’s publishing landscape; and where there are gaps,  it makes recommendations as to possible interventions to bridge them. This report is thus the product of both primary and secondary research to map the sector and highlight key areas for intervention.
